Hello March… aren’t you a sight for sore eyes… from Mother’s Day to the first day of Spring, the third month of the year is packed full of days to celebrate on social media! 😍

As the nation crosses its fingers and looks forward to more “normal times” March is certainly doing its best to increase those excitement levels just a few more notches.

Whilst we may not be able to celebrate the likes of St Patrick’s Day and Mother’s Day like we usually would this time around, there’s certainly no reason why your business can’t turn to social media to join in the celebrations 🙌

Now… you certainly don’t need to jump on every milestone that goes in March, after all it would be a little strange to see a vegan brand tweeting about #NationalButchersWeek 😲

Yes, we know Innocent Drinks like to post about every “Day of the Year” known to man (check out this hilarious example below), but they’re Innocent, they can get away with it and that is “their thing.” 😉

Choose what fits for your business, factor them into your social media strategy this month and keep that momentum going as we all look towards happier times 💜

Here are 12 for starters…

Monday 1st March – St David’s Day

Monday 1st March to Sunday 7th March – British Pie Week

Thursday 4th March – World Book Day

Monday 8th March – International Women’s Day

Monday 8th March to Sunday 14th March – National Butchers’ Week

Thursday 11th March – International School Meals Day

Sunday 14th March – Mother’s Day

Wednesday 17th March – St Patrick’s Day

Friday 19th March – Red Nose Day

Saturday 20th March – First day of Spring

Sunday 21st March – World Poetry Day

Sunday 28th March – Clocks go forward (not back!)

Made a note of them? Play around with those that work for your business, create content that is going to engage your audience and try to get a bit creative with it too.

Still putting off attempting your first Reel? This is the perfect opportunity to let that creativity come flowing out. We all experience the first day of Spring, so why not grab your products, head outside (weather permitting 😉) and produce your first Reel in that basking Spring sunshine (again weather permitting…).

If you’re still not ready for Reels, why not hand over your Instagram stories to a lovely lady in your business this #InternationalWomensDay? Showcasing what they do on a daily basis is such a relatable way to engage with your audience.

Maybe you are a florists that are going to be extremely busy in the run up to #MothersDay? Go live, take a walk around your shop and tell your audience about all the beautiful flowers that are available to purchase.

There are so many ways to utilise these specific days of the week, we could go on forever, but as we said… pick those most suitable to your business, have a play around with your content and remember to use those all important hashtags when posting. Enjoy!
